Sorenson

Sorenson Residence

Lee Sorenson purchased a two panel solar hot water system from H&H in 2008. Two 4' x 8' flat plate solar collectors collect heat. An 80 gallon solar storage tank with an integrated heat exchanger transfers heat energy to the domestic hot water supply. When the gas water heater and the solar storage tank have reached their desired set points, system pumps shut off and fluid drains out of collectors into a "drain back" reservoir. The system is regulated by an IMC Eagle II solar controller.

Mr. Sorenson also purchased a 27 panel, 5.535 kW solar electric system. This system is enrolled in Madison Gas and Electric's Clean Power Partner Program.
